BACK FROM POLAND

For those who did not know i was in Germany and Poland taking 40 people on a tour of the holocaust.

We started off in Berlin and went to the REichstag and the Topography of Terror which gave some background to the Nazis rise to power we also got to see the Berlin Wall and gain understanding about post war Germany. We then went to Wroclaw in Poland where we spent the day in a school and learnt about Polish culture and history. We then went to Krakow where we visited Auschwitz and came back to Berlin where we visited the House of the Wansee Conference and the Holocaust Memorial. The trip has really affected everyone that went and has hopefully changed peoples attitudes to each other.

The pinacle of this trip was visiting Auschwitz and for the first time in three visits i actually took time out to reflect on how terrible the attrocities that went on there were. In fact i can not put it into words but at one stage i fell on my knees in tears realising that so many needless deaths had happened. On reflection afterwards i realise that this scene gives us a small idea of the scene at the end of time with the Sheep and the Goats. The only difference is that at this time people have a choice to not go to Hell Fire where as the people in the Holocaust had no choice the decision was made for them.

This has really affected me and i really want to make my life count for something.
